Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about Beta Information

Why is it free to use BlogSynergy at the moment?

We’re working hard to create a service that people are prepared to pay for. Therefore whilst we’re adding lots of nice new features, we’ve made the service free so that you can tell us what you think! There will be a few features that are a little rough around the edges or incomplete, but rest assured that these features will develop over time.

How long will the Beta testing period last?

The short answer is, as long as it takes. It could be anything between 3 months to 9 months. As things change, they will be announced on the blog.

When the beta period is over, will there still be a free account?

Yes there will. There will be a range of levels of service available on BlogSynergy, including a basic free account. For advanced and heavy users, there will be a modest subscription fee. The details of the pricing have not been finalised yet though.

How do I raise a bug or issue?

You can raise a ticket by visiting the help section.

How do I send you some feedback or give you ideas for new features?

We welcome all ideas and features. Please use the contact form to get in touch.

Registering An Account

Why are link building agencies not permitted to register?

We’ve decided that any agency that charges a fee to build links on behalf of their clients cannot register for an account at this time. This is because we don’t want BlogSynergy to be abused. Any account found to belong to a link building agency will be terminated.

We will review this policy once the BlogSynergy community is more established. In time, we’ll consult with the community in addition to link building agencies on the best way to allow both commercial agencies and individuals to work together on BlogSynergy as transparently as possible.

My Account

How do I show my profile picture?

The profile picture is associated with the email address you use for your account. Essentially you associate your email address with your profile picture with the free Gravatars service. As a bonus, when you post a comment on a blog with that email address, on a blog that supports gravatars, your profile photo will also show up next to your comment.

Adding Blogs

Why are blogs manually approved by the admins?

This is to ensure that only high quality blogs are added to the system. By high quality, me mean that the blog is obviously being updated by a real person and isn’t an automatically updating blog with duplicated content.
